Testicular Hypofunction and Testicular Hypogonadism are basically the same! Gulf war Vets are at an increased risk due to stress which releases cortisol and causes sleep apnea, obesity, diabetes, medications and a host of other problems which lower testosterone. Losing weight increases your testosterone levels which lowers cardiac risk factors, on the other hand increasing testosterone levels with hormone replacement does not lower cardiac risk factors. Gulf war vets are at increased risk of Low Testosterone, due to stress, age , and most likely chemical exposure. A good example is gasoline exposure lowers testosterone levels drastically. Just my opinion!
